The Worcester Sharks are your 2010-2011 Calder Cup Champions!
A tough break for San Antonio as the Sharks mounted a late-game comeback, thanks to the hard work of Lasse Kukkonen. A long, hard fought season comes to an end in the AHL. Congratulations to the Phoenix/San Antonio GM (Glen/Parker) in making the finals for both leagues (quite the accomplishment), to the San Jose/Worcester GM (Dan) on winning it all in the AHL, and to all the teams/GMs for the hard work put into the minor-league season.

Goddamn.
Oh well. It was a hard-fought series and while the team kind of fell apart in the finals, I am somewhat buoyed by the strong performances from the 2010 draftees.
Contratulations, Dan. Best of luck next year.

Awesome. I think I'll re-sign Kukkonen; he deserves it after that effort. Telegin came up big too. Let's hope these young'uns can use this experience in the NHL next season... maybe in the playoffs, say?
Parker should also be pleased with his 2010 draftees who should also figure into a 2012 cup run... but, y'know, there's still this year.

Congrats Dan! Maybe some consolation for the big team's disappointment? Congrats too, Parker. Glad to see the AHL playoffs went so well.
