Attn: Non-playoff teams

Post by Virtual Jarmo »

The first week of your offseason is critically important to you. First, the draft lottery will take place Tuesday night at 8 pm EST. For some of you, this is more exciting than others.

Second, it is your time to begin looking at next season's finances. Arbitration proceedings will begin for non-playoff teams next week. What you have to do is post in the CONTRACT OFFERS forum that you wish to go to arbitration with your players. I will then forward the player(s) cases to one of my arbitrators to be evaluated. Refer to the first arbitration thread for how the process works. Again, this is a new process for all of us. It will take time to get it down.

Also, for all teams, you need to start looking at your other players for re-signing. Just post who they are and the duration that you want and I can take it from there and figure out the salaries. If you want to try and work on it for yourself, let me know, because Sebastien, our Nashville GM, has created a spreadsheet that will figure out the player's salary for you. The only thing it does not take in to account are players who have an average ending in .5 that would round up to a new bracket. I'll handle those as well.

I want to keep all of you non-playoff teams active. We have had one hell of a time trying to fill the league's vacancies. The applicants just aren't there. Please stay active and take care of your finances throughout the playoffs so we can worry about the playoff teams and not have everything gang up all at once as I'm finishing the draft class.

I'll be making the AHL playoff file tomorrow after Ryan's final regular season sim. It'll be a pain in the ass, but you guys wanted it and I'm here to serve all of you.

Again, STAY ACTIVE. That's all I ask.
