2021 Entry-level contract slides

As per a relatively recent rule, all players in their first or second post-initial-draft-eligibility season (born on or after Sept 16, 2000), and who are signed, can have their contracts "slide" - i.e. extend by an extra year - if they played fewer than 10 pro games. 98 players have such contracts, of whom 36 are ineligible for having played more than 10 games:

Unless I misunderstood the rule, I've also got Simon Holmstrom, Daniil Misyul, Nikita Okhotyuk and Calle Clang who are signed and were born after that date.

The players listed in the 1st post actually played more than 10 games at the NHL level.
Which means all the players NOT listed on the list will have a year added to their contract, which is the case for your 4 players that you mentioned.

That's correct.

Also, thanks to running this program, I found that Vasili Podkolzin has an incorrect ELC entered (2M, but should have been 1.6M because he was drafted 12th). Likewise, Jayden Struble should be 720k rather than 800k. I think I will correct both. It's unfortunate that both players have been traded, but I think it's more fair to fix what was my mistake in the first place (also, a big up yours to entering things manually).
