Columbus competes hard for a play off spot but don't feel like contenders. This deal provides a little bit of a restart for the franchise and it doesn't make it weaker at all, overall. Robertson and Chabot are very interesting defensemen and Ohman could suit CBJ better than Boedker. Thanks for the deal.

This isn't strictly necessary.

Anyway, in the future, we will have GMs PMed with explanations before announcing the outcome. Mind you, this is the first major trade between two interim managers, and the first trade rejected by the new committee. While we did announce that interim GM deals would face additional scrutiny, in this case, Marty (OTT) said that did not alter his decision. At the same time, this deal - like virtually any other - could have been re-worked and re-submitted.
