All four games tonight decided by one goal margins, including two in OT.

OTT doubles up NYI on shots but not the most important stats, hits and sv%, as Samu Perhonen steals the show and a 3-2 win for NJ, courtesy also of a two point night from Mitchell Vande Sompel (equalling Raphael Lavoie's effort for OTT). Series tied 1-1.

TB wins a wild game where NYI had the lead three times and tied it up late in the third, but you'll never guess what happened when Evgeny Kuznetsov took the... well I forgot to check but probably first shot in OT. The mood was somewhat spoiled by Rick Nash taking out Logan Stanley for nearly a month, and earning a 4 game suspension in the process. NYI killed off that penalty but ended up giving up 2 goals on the other 3 PKs of the game, along with 12 shots. Series tied 1-1.

NYR takes an early lead with MDC scoring just 62 seconds in. They give up a tying goal late in the 2nd but reclaim the lead in the 3rd and never look back. Shots were 30-15 in NYR's favour and with only one penalty the entire game, this may not have been the most energetic effort of the night. NYR is the only team to hold on to home ice advantage in the East and leads 2-0.

OV scores his first for MTL, but this was Patrik Laine's night as he once again figures on every TOR goal. This time he "only" scored two of his own, and the Leafs did come very close to squandering his efforts a second time as they blew a two goal lead in the span of a minute, including the tying MTL goal with their goalie pulled. However, Sasha Barkov saved the day with a rare (?) PP OT goal thanks to an unwise penalty by Maxim Kitsyn. Series tied 1-1.
