Another loss at home, this time in OT. 46 seconds away from the win and we give it up. On the bright side, a line besides our third line scored some goals tonight. Demitra bumped the slump, Gagner bumped the slump, and a goal from Kostitsyn. Four days off, so ummm let's go back to the drawing board on how to hold 3rd period leads.

Big, big night in the EHEC as there were 12 games on the docket. SJ beats Atlanta into submission, Detroit pulls off a victory despite being outshot, and despite going 1-for-9 on the PP Dallas pummels STL 6-1. Elsewhere, Calgary wins the Battle of Alberta, Philly takes the Battle of Pennsylvania, the Sabres beat the Hawks for the second time in a week, while Columbus takes it in Minnesota.

Three games needed extra time to determine the outcome, as Chris Neil is the surprise hero for Ottawa, Teemu Selanne is absolutely clutch for Washington, and Jacob Markstrom takes care of business when its needed.

http://ehechockey.com/EHEC.zip has everything else that I couldn't possibly fit into this blurb.

Getting out of Nashville with a win was nice, but the continued lackluster goaltending/defense is worrisome. At least AO showed that he still has a pulse.

Big win against the provincial rival Oilers. Good to see Malkin putting a pair into the net and the rookie Loktionov continues to perform. Good to see the veteran Yashin get a goal as well, he went abnormally cold last season (It was disgusting).

Jesus, you'd think they would've played a little harder after a fucking week off between games. Very disappointing defensive effort.

Evidently my boys enjoyed the 6 days off. Back to a normal schedule now, hopefully.

Something has got to be done about this "powerplay". Amazing how EHEC mimics real life, too. At least I held them to 21 shots and props to Lake Erie on the 5-0 start.

PIT-PHI boxscores are always so hard to read. It looks like one team absolutely dominated by scoring 10 goals at glance.
