Avs accept. I guess two greybeards on your top line is better than one when one of them is an elite player in the file. For one year it's hard to find a better fit than Staal to fill my biggest need. After that, who knows. Sending some solid prospects the other way but my arsenal of youth remains well-stocked.

I wasn't going to have room for Staal's cap hit, so I may as well get some depth prospects for him. Would have preferred to send him back East, but at least it's not to a division rival.
