Another solid night for the home teams, going 4-1-1, with only two games not being decided by one goal (or less, in the case of the tie).

-Carolina beat Toronto 4-3 in OT, giving hope to Toronto GM's demands to see his team out of a playoff spot! Mirroring many real life occurrences, the Leafs blew a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd period.
-Flames upset the Preds 4-2, with Patrick 'I'm-on-the-trade-block-don't-look-at-my-age' Sharp picking up two goals and an assist.
-The Blues and Avs were tied 2-2 but decided that finishing tied 3-3 made more sense, so both teams traded late 3rd period goals just over a minute apart.
-The Kings came back from 2-0 down against the Bruins to win 3-2 in OT, with Taylor Hall registering a 3 point evening, including the game tying goal with 35 seconds left and the goalie out.
-Dallas was the lone road team to come away victorious tonight, doubling up the Canucks 4-2. Newcomer Daniel Vladar stopped 10 of 12 shots, while recently waived Jhonas Enroth sat by the phone hoping the Canadiens GM thinks he might be a better option than the nearly 40 year old potential Vezina nominee Pikke Rinne, with rumours that there are 'ratings' behind the scenes that affect GM's opinions of players more than just statistics (said rumour creator was then never heard from again)
-And in a high scoring affair, Stanley Cup Favorites NY Rangers took a 4-2 lead into the third period, went up 5-2, and then bad things happened as the Capitals scored 3 unanswered to tie (including 2 in the final 4 minutes), and then Washington's Nick Bjugstad (or 'Jugstud' to his female fans - the B is silent) scored the OT winner.
