Draft Review Competition
We haven't had one of these in a while, so let's get those creative juices flowing. Anyone who writes a review of their entry draft, past season, upcoming season or anything even vaguely relevant to their EHEC team will have a prize. The top 30 reviews will be entered into a draw to win one of up to 30 identical modest rewards. We might even make them more useful than 15 ceiling points to a goalie!

Re: Draft Review Competition
Heh, first 3 draft reviews combine for half as many picks as I had.
Can someone else do my homework for me?

Re: Draft Review Competition
You have until the end of pre-season/start of the season to submit your reviews.
This year, you'll be able to choose between 4 different boosts and give it to any one player on your roster.
Boosts to guys 26 and under will be in ceiling points, and for the ones over 27, they will be applied to the rating.
Here are your choices:
1) Endurance: +10 ceiling / +7* rating (*becomes +10 if player has reported out of shape this year)
2) Skating: +10 / +7
3) Leadership: +7 rating
4) Strength: +10 / +7

Re: Draft Review Competition
This is a pretty drastic review reward. Usually they were pretty mild and related to the players you drafted.
How did we come up with the 26/27 age cutoff?

Re: Draft Review Competition
We felt the rewards, specially given to random scrubs, weren't really worth it.
Numbers are a bit high, but none of the boosting will touch the players' main attributes.
The cutoff is also our RFA/UFA cutoff and we thought guys 27 and more would have a hard time developing new ceilings and young players to keep ratings that would put them over their true ceilings.
The reward, this time around, is not related to the players you just drafted because, as Dan said, people could've submitted different kinds of reviews.
The goal is to create activity. Build stories. Create enthusiasm.

We started off with bold rewards like free height/weight/birthday/gender changes and worked our way down from there.Tampa Bay GM wrote:This is a pretty drastic review reward. Usually they were pretty mild and related to the players you drafted.

Re: Draft Review Competition
IIRC, LE ceiling is like goalie ceilings. Very phony. Fake.
Probably should just be a LE attribute boost regardless of age.

You're right. I will do just that and edit the initial post.

Re: Draft Review Competition
So was I not eligible? You did say anything related to the team. I didn't exactly have a standout draft with what 3 very late picks.

Re: Draft Review Competition
Draft rewards entered.
WSH's Kempe and CBJ's Nieves boosts were in ceiling points although I think you guys might have been under the impression that your player's current EN rating would get the +10 boosts because they reported out of shape, but they're young guys and the boost was one to the ceiling.
Though I wouldn't mind if you wanted me to change it for something else.
