1. What do you remember about the night you got your first kiss?

Not counting kindergarten, I was in 8th grade and had free tickets to my future high school's hockey game. We were in route and somebody ran a red light and hit my dad's truck. We did a 180, thankfully not hitting anything else. My mom came out and picked up my best friend Tony and this girl Marilyn. It was a Chinese fire drill to get to the game, just to find out that it had been postponed. So, we came back and hung out in my basement, and right before she left, I kissed her.

2. What kind of tennis shoes do you wear?

K-Swiss

3. What websites do you go to right when you get on the internet?

TheClevelandFan.com, EHEChockey.com, Facebook, MLBTradeRumors, HFBoards

4. What is the most f'd up movie you have ever watched?

Eyes Wide Shut

5. Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?

My grandfather drove a fuel truck during WWII. My aunt is listed in the Women's exhibit at Arlington National Cemetary for female soldiers who served in WWII. My uncle, who I never met, served in Vietnam. My great aunt Martha was a fairly established poet. My mom has a collection of her poems. Extremely sappy.

1. What do you remember about the night you got your first kiss?

Being drunk.

2. What kind of tennis shoes do you wear?

Nike.

3. What websites do you go to right when you get on the internet?

Facebook, EHEC, HF, Pretome Torrents

4. What is the most f'd up movie you have ever watched?

Depends how you defined "f'd up". Requiem For A Dream was pretty messed. Memento kinda falls under this but it's more because of the viewing style. I tend to avoid the creepy movies that have dead Japanese girls pop out of the bathtub to kill the protagonist's wife while more creepy dead kids are watching from the window wearing bunny suits, but Mirrors and The Ring are pretty f'd in that sense.

5. Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?

Nobody really notable, but I don't know most of my relatives that well.

5. Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?
- You'd have to be a Western Canadian Academic in rather specific fields (Jacobean music and drama/ Linguistics) to recognize my grandparents.

1. What do you remember about the night you got your first kiss?

Spin the bottle in 5th grade! I ended up on the hottie :)

2. What kind of tennis shoes do you wear?

Babolat.

3. What websites do you go to right when you get on the internet?

EHEC, Facebook, GMail, RDS, Pornhub!

Too many that there's none that comes to mind.

5. Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?

My uncle owns a really big company and one of my cousins played for the Habs' farm team when it was in ''Fredericton''. Not that special though.

What do you remember about the night you got your first kiss?
Not exactly a thrilling story, but I was at the mall with my girlfriend when our parents finally let us hang out alone together. Pretty sure we went to go see a movie too.

What kind of tennis shoes do you wear?
Whatever the cheapest ones I can find are. I can't see spending a shit-ton of money on sneakers.

What websites do you go to right when you get on the internet?
EHEC, Yahoo Mail, TSN.ca/NHL. I have a bunch of those bookmark tabs with different sites at the top of my browser.

What is the most f'd up movie you have ever watched?
There's a few but nothing I can think of distinctly off the top of my head. Fall Guy: The Story of John Stewart was pretty f'n bad all around (and no, not Jon Stewart of The Daily Show).

Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?
My great-grandfather served in WWII, my step-grandfather played some minor-league ball (possibly Triple A) and used to play cards with Don Cherry every week during his tenure with the Amerks, supposedly one of the most successful movie producers of the early to mid 1900s was my great-uncle but I've yet to find solid evidence of that.
EDIT: Completely forgot that my great-great-grandfather was killed by the mob in Buffalo during the Prohibition Era. Its obviously nothing special he did, but still a fairly interesting piece of family history.

1. Probably truth and dare :( Don't remember the details of exactly when or with who.

2. I don't really play tennis much, on the odd occasion I do I use my basketball shoes which are Nike

3. globeandmail.com, nytimes.com, economist.com, gmail, realgm.com (raptors forums)

4. Dunno, requiem for a dream probably.

5. My grandfather was a US congressman, secretary of the army, and campaign manager for Gerald Ford. Also fought in the Korean war. Further back along the same line, the founder of Callaway Golf.

Founder of Callaway? That's big! What's his name?

My dad has been one of their reps for the past 10 years.

Ely Callaway. I never actually met him, and looking it up, it seems to be more recent than I thought. I am related to him through my mom (whose maiden name is Callaway), but I'll have to ask exactly how.

1. What do you remember about the night you got your first kiss?

It was a clear, crisp, cold, moonlit night. Our eyes locked together in a moment of tense silence. I leaned in, our lips met and I guess I'm not really cut out for this kind of writing.

2. What kind of tennis shoes do you wear?

I'm almost as bad at tennis as I am at basketball. Squash is more like it.

3. What websites do you go to right when you get on the internet?

Somethingawful forums, here, webmail... yawn. I used to go to CBC news more often before the quality of that started decreasing.

4. What is the most f'd up movie you have ever watched?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074102/ , don't read more about it, it's terrible. For that matter, so was Requiem for a Dream.

5. Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?

Uh... my grandfather went to jail for political activism in Romania, but so did probably several percent of the population at one point or another.

5. Do you have any relatives who have done something special (served in war, invented something, well-known in the community, etc.)?

A bunch of relatives served in WWI, know a great great uncle of mine who was at Passchendaele. Another flew a bomber plane in WWII. Grandfather was RB for the Toronto Argonauts farmteam... I think they were called Bomby Beach, or the Parkdale Lions, can't remember which. Don't know too much else...

Guys, "tennis shoes" are regular sneakers. I'm shocked that they aren't called that or some of you aren't aware of what I mean. Is there some sort of other slang term in Canada for them?

Some people look at them as athletic shoes. Generally, tennis shoes just means non-dress shoes that you wear. Shit you'd wear to the mall or to a sporting event.

Next thing you'll be telling us that coke refers to any kind of pop or soda, not just the cola kind.

Sneakers or running shoes, not tennis shoes. Is tennis that popular in Cleveland?

The people from the midwest and northern parts of the country say pop. My fiancee, from South Carolina, says soda.

Saying tennis shoes is. Playing tennis, not so much. In fact, pretty much not at all.

Or just "shoes" in general. Or some people of the generation like to call them "kicks."
