A bit of a quieter night than last evening, but a competitive one nonetheless as the EHEC Playoff Chase continues. Buffalo was soundly beaten as they lose an opportunity to stay ahead of the pace, the Rangers pick up the second shutout of the evening by toppling the Devils, and Alzner is the hero in Washington after foiling a strong Hurricanes comeback.

Yea, definitely. I'm going to have to start winning some games just to hold on to that last spot. San Jose has 2 games in hand on me though, so we'll see. Looks like we're going to have an entertaining sprint to the finish in the West now.

Big game for the Kings third lines, the rookie Gustafsson 1g-3p and Handzus 2g-2p. The Kings still chasing the Phoenix Coyotes for the 1st place.
