The Penguins squeak by the Flames on the strength of a 10-star performance from Ilya Bryzgalov and a winning goal from Anze Kopitar. Montreal blows a 3 goal lead in 21 minutes and loses the extra point in the shootout against the Kings. Mikael Granlund stars as the Panthers beat the Wings in a 9-goal overtime affair. Rookie Brendan Perlini continues the hot start to his NHL career by potting the (regulation) game-winner for the Oilers against divisional rivals Anaheim.

Third road win in a row for the Kings. Bernhard Keil with a goal and a pass played a good game after being healthy scrath for a while. Toivoinen played good enough to get the W, with Steve Mason getting a rare night off.
