Official Waiver Wire Thread

Post by Virtual Jarmo »

Place players on waivers here. All players 24 years of age or older are eligible for waivers and must be posted when they are demoted to the AHL. See full rules here.

Do not post about promotions from the AHL to the pros. They are not relevant.

Isn't there a 8-hour waiver period first where teams (with the waiver priority) can place claims on a player, then the winner is responsible for the entire salary?

From the Rulebook regarding players who are bought out, which Stoll is because he makes more than 1.2M:
B. Upon being bought out, that player then becomes a free agent and is open to be bid on using the process outlined in Section 5B.

Uh, according to the rules a player can only be bought out after he clears waivers. Since I'm putting in a claim on Stoll, he isn't going to clear waivers.

Absolutely. You're correct. My mistake.

Let me discuss Waiver Priority with my Committee members. For now, you have the first claim. Odds are, it will hold up cause PHX was terrible last year (and that's probably what we will go on for now).

Note two waiver changes:

1. 18-hour window now for claiming players.
2. Waiver priority based on last year's real-life standings until we reach the all-star break, or thereabouts, so that the standings shake out a little bit.

I think 25 and over is ineligible from what Adam told me.

And Krajicek makes over $1.2 million; I'm not sure if he can play in the AHL.

I believe the rules say...

1. Any player under the age of 25 does not need to clear waivers to be sent down."

So 25 year old would need to clear waivers

But according to player scout he's still 24 and doesn't till turn 25 till later this season.
