Re: March 18, 2012
The last few weeks of the regular season are upon us with a few races going down to the wire. Philadelphia scores an important victory over Pittsburgh with a Claude Giroux goal late in the third period. Unfortunately, said win comes with a price. Namely, Daniel Carcillo, as David Clarkson will sit ten games as a result of the injury.
Washington keeps the pressure on in the Southeast by shutting out the Blackhawks. Calgary stops a banged up Jackets squad at the Saddledome. Joe Basaraba relishes his enhanced role following the Kartayev injury. Nashville collects two points and gets some help. Peter Laviolette is torched by the media for using Raffi Torres in a shootout.

No Backes, no Donskoi, no Voracek. I'm surprised I managed 12 shots. Backes injury totally slipped my mind, didn't get lines submitted until Tommy texted me and asked what I wanted to do. Could've thrown any combination of shit at the wall and still lost.
Brutal next two weeks.

Holy Jesus, Ilya Bryzgalov is leading the league in shutouts right now. The team has EIGHT this year, split between Bryz and Tommy Greiss.
Awesome.
Awesome.

Damn you, Pittsburgh, would have loved to see Philadelphia go down last night, but it does make the race that much more exciting!

I think Price & Niemi have 8 as well? Or seven. I know Price has 5 and Niemi has atleast 2 I think.Parker wrote:Holy Jesus, Ilya Bryzgalov is leading the league in shutouts right now. The team has EIGHT this year, split between Bryz and Tommy Greiss.

Re: March 18, 2012
Yeah, Price is at 5 and Niemi 2. Good all-around numbers for both those guys this year. Doesn't look like Niemi has gotten much offensive support though; with his GAA and SV% you'd think he'd be better than only one game over .500... he's like the anti-Auld, the guy who still manages to win despite his fucking abysmal performance.Montreal Canadiens wrote:I think Price & Niemi have 8 as well? Re: March 18, 2012
Yeah, Price hasn't been that spectacular this year, his average rating is pretty poor and his SPCT is in the bottom-half I think. Niemi has definitely been solid though and has faced some good teams like WSH and NYR.Parker wrote:Yeah, Price is at 5 and Niemi 2. Good all-around numbers for both those guys this year.
