Bit of an issue with signing expiring staff. The offers posted around June 6 did not go in for some reason. I did them and posted them, but it seems I either began working on players.ehm and didn't save or something else happened. I fixed it as best I could, with names from the threads, but for some teams, I have no idea who the expiring staff members they lost are.

My apologies. Honestly don't know what happened and very out of character for me. Very sorry to those teams, myself included because I have no clue who I lost.

Going to act in the best interest of NJ and sign Helenius to a 1 year 2.5M deal. An offer was posted, but no arbitration proceedings ever took place. Cannot let another ANA situation from last year happen.

If you did not know.

When you offer staff contracts, you have to advance one day, cause if you dont, even if you had saved, and you quit the game, say goodbye to your staff contract entered, they'll be forgotten (glitch in EHM).

I think that applies to all contracts, not just staff contracts. Same with player movement and stuff. If you make a bunch of callups and stuff and save the game without simming forward a day, when you reload it none of the changes will be there.

Never had that issue with players/training or any of that. Just staff. Players have the "Considering Offer Data" in their players.ehm section. Staff doesn't have that. I'm pretty sure staff just blindly take every contract unless severely underpaid.

The second you offer a player a contract, his name goes blue that he's considering it.

Trades are the one thing you have to rollover to have show up in the lines, but the players are there in the Players/Staff tab and Farm Team tab.

Yeah, I haven't seen the issue besides with entering staff contracts.

Yeah, I've never seen the non-staff issues you bring up either. Were you using a different version?

Hmm, possibly. I'm using 1.16. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong.

We use 1.16 to sim. Never had an issue.

Only issue I ever have is I'll do something in EHM, forget to save it, open players.ehm, save that and then what I did in EHM is lost.

BTW, next upload has the new, and hated, Winnipeg Jets logo in the pictures folder. Some of you may choose to keep it the NHL logo.

I kinda like it - gives the option to use the old one as a third.

Sorry about being away for the majority of the last couple days, guys. I'll be taking care of some loose ends league-wide tonight, including ruling on those two trades.

The schedule should be added to the file today. I'm going to sim through the year and make sure everybody has 41 home/away and plays 82 games.

Trying to figure out a sim schedule right now before posting the updated Rulebook. Made one new rule, amended a couple others.

New: No contracts to expiring FAs until after January 1.

Amended: For Qualifying Offers, no player with over 100 Greed with accept a QO. For others, I'll just let them go at whatever the game will let them take, except for in obvious cases where big raises are in play.

Also amended, the percentage chart was increased for guys with an 80 (OF+DF)/2 or higher making 4-5+ million.

Made the Rulebook more viewer-friendly, starting each new section on its own page.

I think that's all I did.

Well, because nothing can ever be easy, I need your help.

CBJ, ANA, OTT, PIT are all showing 81 games at the end of the sim. I cross-checked CBJ's schedule with the one posted on NHL.com and it's 82 games, 41/41, and all of them are listed in the calendar.

File is uploaded with the new schedule. If any of you have time to check it out, feel free. I don't know if maybe there's a schedule.ehm spacing issue or something. I don't know.

Pisses me off.

I didn't do the waivers or FAs or anything. Just uploading this to get another set of eyes looking at the schedule.

Backed yourself into that one now didn't you. Kinda like the other day when I was explaining to my boss all this work from home I was doing and his response was obviously "atleast you're working somwhere."

putting finishing touches on my player picture file. obviously we'll have to go with Thrashers colors for the Jets as they don't have any team pictures yet. 52 more pictures to go... 298 already done. some of them are updated pictures of vets, and not all new drafted players have a picture because... A - file too big B- there is just no picture of them yet.
