Starting Goalie Rule Change

Effective immediately, no goaltender with a rating below 70 OA will start in the NHL, except in an emergency case such as an injury.

There have been concerns of tanking by some teams, and hopefully this will remedy the problem for now. Any questions, feel free to contact Committee members.

Got a text from Nick about this and had a little go-round with another GM. To those of you not making the playoffs, I have zero tolerance for tanking. It will not be allowed. I would think that it would be pretty obvious that if you are planning on starting some schmuck goaltender who is in the 50's OA, it is not going to get past us.

Next person who tries to intentionally tank is gone. No questions asked, no explanation necessary. There are teams who are desperately trying for playoff spots and seeding. Directly affecting the outcome of a race by tanking with not be done.

So again, do not attempt to get anything like that past one of us again. You have been warned.
