Short explanation : Babchuk is pretty much the same defenseman like Mezsaros is for me (defensively, Babchuk has pretty good shot, I like that) and they're both old pretty much the same too, so I'm actually not loosing much but on the other hand, I'm getting young (just 18 years old), highly-talented goaltender, Ivan Bocharov with pot 82 and a solid 3rd round pick in the 2015 draft. And also, I'm actually saving some salary cap space for my team, another good point for me. Good balanced deal, thanks.

I have the cap space to make this move in order to solidify my defensive squad. Meszaros might turn out to be a rental or if he does good I still could sign him.

Babchuk was expandable and so was that 2015 pick. Tough to let go a goalie with so much potential but I think it's worth it.

Meszaros is all around pretty good and with that high CON, he might help me reach the SCF again this year.
