Short explanation : Even though Soltes is a solid prospect, Brendan Smith is looking better in my eyes... He's good offensive defenseman and he's relatively young too. Good deal for me.

Soltes for B.Smith -- Rangers agree.

Although not a great prospect, Soltes plays a good enough game to figure into one of my lower two lines at some point down the road. Smith got caught up in my blueline log jam, and likely wasn't going to get called up anytime soon. Plus, I free up a spot to sign one of my prospects to the farm.
