Accepted. My team is doing really well recently and i've decided to try to make playoff this year. To do it, I really need to get a guy like Heatley to put some goals. Look at the stats, i have Zetterberg who got 31 goals, but after, we got 3 players with 14 goals. I decided to give Ryan for him. Hunter can take the place of Ryan on my second line, and when Teravainen will come from his injury, Zherdev will take that spot. With Ryan going away, it gives me some space to resign Heatley at the end of this season.

Could've wait until the deadline or even wait and trade the rights on Heatley in the off season but who knows what the market will look like. It's a gamble and I wasn't comfortable with that. $7,5M ain't easy to move either.

Bobby Ryan's the type of player who can hit, get some take-aways and put a 30 goal season together. I needed/wanted this. The 2nd rounder gives me 4 picks in the Top 50 (as of today); pretty good assets if another trade comes up.
