Whatever. All I want is my team's leading scorer back from suspension.

Two suspensions tonight as a dozen games take place in EHEC. Both Scott Hannan and Robyn Regehr will sit for two games for injuring Max Friberg and Ryan Stoa in tonight's action.

The game of the night comes from the Northeast Division, where the Sabres need a late extra attacker goal from Ryan Johansen to set up Derek Roy's overtime game winner. A very strange box score in Sunrise tonight as the Panthers score six times on 14 shots to best the Hurricanes 6-2, despite getting outshot by 23. Boston gets back in the win column with a dominating performance over the Devils. The Red Wings pick up a couple of surprise points over Phoenix, while the Sharks overcome an 0-for-9 effort on the powerplay to beat the Flames. The Jackets hammer the Blues, but lose Ryan Stoa in the process. Nashville destroys Dallas with a touchdown and an extra point. The Jets handle the Flyers, the Ducks take down the Wild, and Rangers win the battle of New York.

The Canadians, and Jackets prospect netminder Jordan Binnington, come home from Russia with a bronze medal.

Wtf? With a top-five draft pick staring you in the face, NOW you want to win four in a row? :P

On the plus side, Minny loses again.

Doh.

I mean, I knew it was going to happen eventually but I was hoping we'd hold on long enough to beat Detroit's home winning streak record (23 games) but of course the Red Wings themselves stop us at 20. Congrats to Detroit for being only the second team (after Calgary) to beat Phoenix at home so far this season.

Sucks to hit the halfway mark on a two-game losing streak, but that overall record still looks pretty impressive.

EDIT: Oops, I guess that loss to LA was the actual halfway mark.

I'm not sure why they couldn't get it up last night against Edmonton but I'll gladly take a road win against a tough opponent and a game clawed back from Phoenix.

It's still a little irritating to be 3rd in league goalscoring and point % but also 3rd in the division and 5th in the conference. Damn you Pacific Division!
