An award has been determined in the Leland Irving arbitration.
Dallas comps & proposed: Chet Pickard (listed at 850k, now makes 2.75M), Budaj, Niittymaki; 1M for 5 years (4 years max though)
Arbitrator comps: Pickard, Holtby
Irving projects somewhere between Pickard and Holtby, but much closer to Pickard with the high CON. Pickard is definitely a better goaltender, but Irving certainly deserves a raise for having a good CON and enough of a POT to survive as a starting goaltender.
My arbitrator proposed 2.55M for the 4 years. I think 2.55 is a fine number. He's going to play a majority of the games for Dallas and his solid CON coupled with a reasonable POT and coming off a very solid playoff year is grounds for agreeing with the arbitrator's number.
Garrick, you can accept/reject Leland Irving at 2.55M for 4 years.

Re: Dallas Contract Offers
An award has been determined in the Marty Turco arbitration.
DAL comps: Steve Mason, Mike Smith, Carey Price, Kari Lehtonen; 4M for 1 year
Arbitrator comps: Ward, DiPietro, Nabokov, Bryzgalov
Turco was replaced partway through the season to adhere to the 72 games played rule and then wound up never being put back in for the playoffs. Turco had a strong regular season.
The arbitrator proposed 4.25M, so I will settle in the middle and say Turco should be awarded 4.115M for one season. He played well enough for a minor increase.
Garrick, you can accept/reject Turco at $4,115,000 for one season.
Also, please accept/reject Leland Irving's arb.

Re: Dallas Contract Offers
Because these arbitrations are posted and Garrick's been unreliable, I'm going to go ahead and accept both rulings. DAL's roster is already taking enough of a hit without losing both goaltenders.

Re: Dallas Contract Offers
Because DAL will currently have 5 guys on the AHL roster under contract for next year, I'm going to act. Going to give default raise contracts to everybody but Benn who has already been bid on.
