O.A.R. - Heard the World

It's my favourite song right now because it reminds me of the Canucks.

New 3 doors down CD: Time of my Life. It's awesome. I hope they go on tour soon. They were the 2nd best concert I've ever seen live.

I was wondering how this CD would be. Big fan of the first single When You're Young. I like 3DD. Good band and they have a guitar sound that is uniquely theirs.

I bought the extended version or whatever, and the added bonus tracks are acoustics, which are actually really good.

I just came in to post I was listening to that^.

It's similar to their generic style, but some really good songs on there. Quite like it. Hurricane is my favourite so far.

Their lyrics are so hilariously bitter toward women. It is their same generic style, but it's definitely working for them.

How exactly is Theory of a Deadman a Nickelback rip-off?

They sound ALOT like them, became popular shortly after Nickelback become mainstream iirc and both suck equally as hard?

Nickelback is awesome, how can you not like Burn it to the Ground. They're genious with their lyrics, and style of music that has made them multi-millionaires.

Theory is good, but you think they prob sound a like since they have the same recording studio. Also Tyler Connolly and Chad Kroeger are related I believe.

To say they sound the same, probably means you actually don't listen to them, since they are identical in some ways, but also very different.

I'd have a hard time seperating Theory of a Deadman from the same lineage of Nickleback's knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, lobotomized-post-grunge.

Whatever. Diff'rent strokes.

I just got back from a conference in Chicago, so I missed all the action. But everything's fine for us up here. Wife says it rained hard Sat and Sun, but nothing looks bad. I think NJ and VT got it worse, overall.

Good to hear, since the media told it that was the end of the East Coast as we know it. It was going to mudslide itself to the middle of the Atlantic.
