Hittin' the Sin City
I'm in Vegas starting tomorrow morning, and will be back in action Friday at some point.

Have fun, man. Go to Hooters, they have a place with a $9.99 prime rib dinner. Also, do yourself a favor (depending on where you're staying) and buy either the 3 day bus pass or the 3 day monorail pass. Only way to get around. Hard to find $5 minimum tables. The smaller houses have them 24/7, but blackjack only pays 6 to 5. I don't know what you play. If you want to go to the Circus Circus area of the Strip, Slots A Fun has $3 craps.
Win some money.

I'm staying at the MGM Grand.
Besides tournaments I've only played $2/$4 limit in VAN, since that way you don't lose right away and can get atleast a couple hours of it if you end of losing. I've rarely actually came away losing on a given night. So yeah, only play the small tables, and no blackjack since I find I lose so quick.
No idea how to play craps either.

Monorail runs right in to the back of MGM. Runs along the back of the properties on that side of the Strip. Then you can just cut through those places to go across the street to Bellagio, Caesars, Mirage, TI, etc. Hooters, with the prime rib and $3 blackjack, is right across the street from MGM. MGM's poker room was sickeningly crowded every day that I was there.Montreal Canadiens wrote:I'm staying at the MGM Grand.

Circus Circus had a 1/3 limit game. Mirage was very slow in the morning with a lot of old guys. If you don't want to play against the uber-aggressive young guys, then try to play in the morning. Bellagio was usually pretty crowded too. You'll have no shortage of LHE or NLHE to play.
I was going to play, but I haven't played in so long, I didn't trust myself or my reads. I had an awful run at blackjack. Craps is a bit overwhelming at first, no doubt.
No shortage of things to do, that's for sure.

Ya I wasn't planning on gambling a ton to be honest because I'm worried to get stomped as well. Playing in VAN at the casino's there it's pretty easy to read people and what not. I'll prob just play 1 night and see how it goes.
