This one was a goaltender game, by which I mean one goalie played well and one did not, and that was seemingly the biggest factor. The Sharks take an early 1-0 lead, but then surrender three straight goals. They manage to grab one back to head into the third down 3-2, but St. Louis pots two more in the third to notch a dominant win. Askarov saves 19 of 24, while Gibson gets 29 of 31. In playoff tradition, both teams go 0-5 on the powerplay.
SJ 2-5 STL (Series: SJ 0 - 2 STL)

In the first, Dallas takes the lead 6 minutes in, only to surrender it just 1:29 later. The tie holds until the halfway point of the second, when Jesperi Kotkaniemi gives the Red Wings the lead. A short way into the third, Detroit stretches the lead to two with a rare powerplay goal. Seemingly wanting to share in the fun, Detroit gives Dallas three straight powerplays to end the game. The first gives Dallas a second goal, but the Wings hold the line from there, even after the Stars pull Spencer Knight to make it 6 on 4 for the last 1:30.
