T-minus 4 days of games left in the 25/26 season. It's BIG game time, and congrats to Monday's simmer who has 12 games - but I think Kevin did that to himself so....

It's Buffalo 4-3 over the Jackets in a low event game where Buf put them away with 10 minutes still to go and kept their boots on the neck. Big game for Dawson Mercer and the Jiricek boys are united and strong. Buffalo, who hasn't qualified for the post season in a DECADE, stay strong in the bottom-packed-East. It's still Buff, Car, NJ, and TOR for 3 spots at 6 through 8.

It's Rangers over Blues 3-1 as STL is 4th in the West, and will stay at 3rd out East. Similar low event like Buffalo, though I get 3 PPs to STL's 0, which is rare, but I still suck on them, so... Rare 2 10-game effort by Howden and Matthews. Matthews esp. since he had 0 points.

And because DET won, they have that solo-3rd over STL. MASSIVE brawl in the 3rd, which meant no scoring either, but no LTIs, just lots of statement-making. Detroit going 1-7 on the PP appears to be the work of Ben Gaudreau, who saved 33 of 35.

Boston and PGH kiss their sisters 2-2, in what ends up a non-playoff affecting affair, short of me losing out and PGH winning out they could have taken the division. Woohoo I guess bc this always goes great.

In the "lets make Dan happy" game, CAR wins it in regulation over Tampa Bay. Scoring from 4 different guys, and its Dvorsky's 19th and Kassian's 19th, so 2 games left to make that 20 goal mark. Tampa needed another in that PP advantage. CAR holds tied for 7th with NJD, both 1 pt up on TOR's 78. However, CAR and NJ both are at 80 games playd, so if TOR wins their game in hand, they have the advantage.

And that plays into NJ's game since they are where they are at, as they and Nashville have a nice sibling kiss. Playoff-esque hockey seems to be in the air as another low-event game has only 4 penalties. NJ holds but its a close one.

Finally its the 'Yotes in OT over LA, thanks to Teravainen's snipe with under a minute to go in OT. 'Zona played a solid game. Unfortunately for them, it only serves to potentially hurt a draft pick odds, whreas for LA, they are now 1 below NSH, and slightly lower for home ice in round 1. They are on pace for a matchup against DET.

HUGE win. This race is TIGHT. Big night for Adam Jiricek with his first career point in his first career game, a primary apple to Leo Carlsson. 2 games, 2 wins! I wanna get swept in the first round.

Anyway, good job overcoming the odds, Canes. Only one win away from .500 now. It's like running a marathon in a stadium and then finding that the prize is fighting a boxing match against the winner of the next weight class up.
