We head into the weekend with a handful of games and no week-long vacay like the big boys are taking for the Olympics. Enjoy Italy guys, EHEC players are grinding away.

The Rangers outmatch the run-and-gun Bruins 3-1, though Tij scores his 3rd of the year. I swear he scored on us last time we played - so I went and checked - and, no, it was another 3-1 win, but Tij had an apple. Likely helped that I was both home, and had 8 powerplayers versus the Broons 1.

The Jets and Flyers kiss their sisters, and while real hockey fans know a 1-1 game can be high paced and exiting, I am guessing this was not. A powerplay goal for each in the first period and that was IT. Woof. And EACH team had a powerplay in overtime. Big ups to DiPietro (27 saves - 10 rating) and Husso (uhhhh 10 saves - 7 rating?)

Oil town gets a nice 5-3 win in Dallas. Pretty even shots (31-30) and even PPs (3-3) but Spencer Knight, yikes.

Vancouver gets a great 3-0 win, but uh oh its not shutout season, as Cossa got 13 saves, and Fowler had 7. No LTI so musta just banged a knee or something. Get better son.

Ottawa wins 5-3. Boo. (They had a shorty and an empty netter)

Nashville bests Calgary after a first period of nuffin. Its 2 for Nash in the 2nd and 2 for CGY in the 3rd, before Taylor Beck nets his 16th with just under 4 minutes to go and that's all she wrote. Solid performance by Danny Vladar.

Did I get goalies appropriate shoutouts Dan? Then again there were no goalie fights, so I wasn't so easily distracted.
