On a night where the Eastern Conference playoff competition somehow got even closer, we had a ton of fights even by EHM standards. The highlight goes to Carolina's Nicolas Roy earning a game misconduct for his third fight of the game just 2:30 into the 3rd period.

Meanwhile EHM continues its merciless campaign to inflict long-term injuries upon the whole league, with not just one but two attempt to injure penalties being earned by the Red Wings.

The good news is that Tyson Jost is apparently bad at injuring anyone and failed in his attempt.
The bad news is that Thimo Nickl had no such issues, taking out Milan Lucic for nearly six months and earning a 22 game suspension.

RIP Lucic. He was having a killer season. Gotta hurt LA’s cup chances. Or maybe it riles them up. On the other hand it is Lucic. Probably did something stupid to deserve it.

We go 0-6 on the PP, outshoot the oppo by 11 shots, and Eichel/MDC/Tkachuk had great games.... win by 1, almost blew it.
