In keeping with my overly in depth trade summaries, I provide the following:
Denisenko isn't a bad player even if he is overpaid a bit. Morin, similarly, is not a bad player and is overpaid a bit. I'm not totally capped out and I can bring in a versatile forward, at the cost of 800k in cap space. Other benefit for Morin is he's only got 1 more year being overpaid, as opposed to Denisenko's 2 more.
Benefit of taking that is, yes, Denisenko will give a little forward versatility, opens a spot on defense I can likely fill in UFA, and I move up 8 spots in the 2nd and grab a next year 3rd. Moving up from 55 to 47 is not a TON, but it does leapfrog 2 of Kevin's 2nd round picks? So I mean, any chance I get to give it to that guy right? RIGHT?!
