There were a lot of games tonight, so a quick rundown:

New Jersey edges out Boston 4-3 via a couple powerplay goals.

Jeff Carter's third period natural hat trick powers the Leafs to a 6-3 win over Arizona.

The Rangers beat the Islanders 3-1 in what is surprisingly the least penalty filled game of the evening.

Winnipeg takes 7 of 9 penalties and the Wild powerplay takes advantage for a 5-1 win.

Jaromir Pytlik breaks his 16 game goal drought to score both the tying goal and overtime winner for the Avalanche in a 5-4 victory against the Penguins.

The Blue and Red Wings solve nothing in OT and settle for a 3-3 tie.

The Predators run Washington's Andrei Vasilevski out of the net midway through the second, which leaves an unfortunate Chet Pickard without a relief option of his own when he too gets shelled. The Preds take it 8-1.

In a tandem occurrence with the Preds/Caps game, Florida's goaltenders are mulched by the Stars and their three powerplay goals, apparently deciding to prove that a 5 spot just isn't enough run support. Dallas wins 8-5.

And finally, the Senators hold off the 3-1 Calgary comeback for a 4-3 win.

[Sharp Stick Bisons]

A couple vets hitting milestones in style. Carter gets to 600 goals scoring a hat trick plus assist. Malkin reaches 1300 points with a 5 point performance. Less impressively Ryan Strome marks down his 500th point.
