Well that was an exciting sim. First up, the Finns thumped Poland 7-2, with Washington's Aleksanteri Kaskimäki picking up 3 points.
Japan managed to keep things closer than they should have been in the second game, putting 3 goals past Calgary's Carl Lindbom, but three assists for Minnesota's Liam Dower Nilsson got Sweden the 6-3 win.
The Swiss powerplay was perfect while the American powerplay sucked (both scored one goal
but the Swiss only had one opportunity and one shot, while the Americans had 7 powerplays and twelve shots), but it was not enough for an upset. Defencemen Ryan Chesley (Washington) and Jack Peart (Minnesota) each managed three assists, while Mr. Snuggy himself (Detroit's Jimmy Snuggerud) had a goal and an assist 
Finally, there was an upset! Despite a goal and three assists from the undrafted Sandis Vilmanis, Latvia could not withstand the diverse attack of France's Chouinard, Langey, Bourgeau, Boulineau, Bosse, and Issorat (none of whom actually exist).
