ANA / NYR

Post by NYRNYRNYR »

NYR Receives:
Alex Peters [78]
ANA 1st 2022

ANA Receives:
Pavel Yelshansky [97]
50% Salary Retention by NYR

Whelp, a few recent bad losses aside, I said I was building for next year forward and it continues. If Yelshansky was a pure rental, I would have likely settled for something lower. But he has team control into the future, at a discount of more than half what he'd make as a UFA resigning. He's one of the highest CONs in the game, and for the "low OFF, high DEF" players, his 82 shot is unrivaled.

Coming back is Peters, who I don't really see in my future, but it means that ANA actually saves money (esp. since the retention puts Yel at league minimum for the remainder of this year), while still upgrading the position. My benefit then is likely a 20-30 1st this year, that while not spectacular, fills up a low prospect pool, that got even lower (in the future) when I jumped at JT.

Good luck ANA - go deep buddy.

Accept, wanted to bolster up the defense with a more consistent player before the deadline.
