The Panthers did almost everything right in game 5, including storming back in the third period and tying the game with Gibson pulled. Unfortunately, despite getting the coveted first shot of overtime, they fall victim to a blistering clapper from Ilya Kovalchuk (his league-tied-for-leading tenth goal of the playoffs).

Congrats to Justin... again... sigh... and also to rookie GM Derek's Panthers for a surprisingly impressive/impressively surprising run.

The 2020 EHEC Finals between the host Dallas Stars and visiting Tampa Bay Lightning will commence on Sunday. I'll advance the file to the day before (25th) tomorrow night.
