Web host change (READ ME)
Dear GMs,
As you may or may not know, the hosting for this site is not free. Until last April, Adam was still kindly paying for it. After handing it over, the current hosting company (1and1) gave us a reasonable deal to continue. That deal is now expiring, so I decided to move to a cheaper Canadian host (whc.ca). As part of the deal, I also got a shorter domain name: ehec.pro. As you can see, I've copied over the site there. Later today, I'll move over a current copy of the forums.
Anyway, all you need to do is update your bookmarks and go to EHEC.pro. I will switch over more of the pages to use https instead of insecure http as well.
Now if anyone is sentimental about ehechockey.com, we can keep it too for a modest fee. Personally, I'm not. That's up to y'all.

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
I've transferred over the forums. Let me know if you spot anything strange. e: I need to fix the home link, I know.
Also, let me emphasize that you should always use https://ehec.pro (you can drop the www). There may still be some links floating around that are hardcoded to http:// or even http://www.ehechockey.com/... If you find any, let me know. I think the only major thing left to fix is the application page.
Oh, and if you need to email, it's still commissioner at the new url.

Terrible news!!!! We are not legit anymore. Dan, time to hit the corner for a few hours
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
I've noticed that there's still some posting going on at the old domain. Perhaps we should lock out the old one to prevent any mix ups or missed posts.

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
Is GMO working (or supposed to be) on the new url?
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
It's not currently working for me. It seems like I'm being logged out every time I leave the forum, even just going to the rest of the site, so I can't get into GMO since I need to be logged in.
The remember me function doesn't seem to be working either.

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
I had that problem yesterday but changed the cookie settings so it should work now.
Can you give any more information? What browser are you using? Exactly what URL are you trying to get into GMCP from? It should be https://ehec.pro/gmcp.php. https://www.ehec.pro/gmcp.php should also work but the www isn't needed.
I've tested it in Firefox and Chrome.

Working for me.
It wasn't at first but I can't remember what I did to solve. I think I went to main page instead of through the forum link...

Most recent file here.
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
The OA ratings in the roster pages seem off, or at least my team does.
E: Still can't access GMO in Chrome as well.

What are your cookie settings set to?
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
Seems to me that I need to login unless the session I'd is linked in the URL I am going to.

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
Working for me now. Noticed Chrome was saying "Not secure" so re-loaded the site making sure to use https:// and, after logging in again, worked just fine.
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
I tried Firefox and Safari, both on a computer and a phone, and neither was working.SharksGM wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 12:11 am I had that problem yesterday but changed the cookie settings so it should work now.

I've tested it in Firefox and Chrome.
The website being on HTTPS seems to have fixed the issue though.
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
Https fixed it. Unfortunately I can't bookmark the unread posts link anymore without having the most recent session ID :/

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
Okay, well consider https mandatory as there really isn't any reason to login somewhere not using it.
search.php?search_id=unreadposts why can't you just bookmark that? It will prompt you to login if your session expired.
Re: Web host change (READ ME)
I don't know why it wasn't working yesterday, but glad it is now.
Re: Web host change (READ ME)

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
You may be using a bad login method. Follow this link to login using the correct.

Re: Web host change (READ ME)
There was an extra line inserted into players.ehm somehow. I fixed it, but I'm not sure if it'll happen again. If it does, please check https://ehec.pro/ufa.php?pending=-1, scroll down to the bottom, then check https://ehec.pro/files/players.ehm and see if there's anything obviously wrong and let me know.DaveG-Canes wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 3:13 pm So yeah, little issue, but I noticed some of my key dmen are now missing from my roster, not sure what happened there.

It's case sensitive so it has to be EHEC not ehec.
