Reasoning: With Schneider and Lukowich wanting to test the market I needed to pick up a defenseman that could play 5th/6th man minutes and Tallinder has the size and ability to do so. Roy simply adds an 8th/9th defenseman for depth in Manitoba and Vancouver in the very unlikely chance its needed.

Columbus accepts. I got Tallinder to sign under what he wanted, so he provides good value as a depth defenseman for Lee and I pick up a 2nd rounder that I can get a pretty good Tallinder replacement with.
