I have no plan on re-sign Armstrong next yr and he was playing on my fourth line. I wanted to strenghten my defense for the last stretch and the playoff, Morris give me that. Patterson will be next yr Mason backup and i get a stay a home defenseman prospect, that will help for yrs to come.

After I didn't managed to dump Mihalik and Ahnelov, I can afford to trade one of my NHL defenseman, + Morris has been the oldest guy on my team (36 yrs old) and I wanted someone younger and I wanted a forward. Trading prospects that wouldn't make it to the Dallas roster is acceptable price for me to pay to get younger and better player overall ......Colby will fit my team nicely with his fine offensive ability and great defensive ability, especially the hit. I like his leadership too.
