Last night of games until after the holiday break -- next stop, Saturday night. Meanwhile:
Boston takes care of business at home, beating Nashville 5-2; New Jersey rips Carolina 5-1; Setoguchi with three points as the Habs top the Isles 4-1; Rangers win the game 4-2 and a couple fights in the third period line brawl too; Minny ambushes Philly 3-1 at home; Toronto stops 7 Dallas power plays on the way to a 5-3 win; The Kessel Run with a hat trick and the Wings beat Buffalo 4-1; Tampa holds on over Pittsburgh 4-2; Edmonton gives up two late but holds on to win the shootout 4-3; St Louis with a you-know-what in their 5-2 win over the Avalanche; and Chicago wins it in OT thanks to Jonathan Toews, beating the Jets 4-3.
Sent down Tyler Kennedy to get the Jets back to the cap.
