Just two games tonight: two PPG and a wonky shot differential means a 4-2 win for the Devils on the Island; Pittsburgh wins a wild one over Tampa 5-4, despite Claude Giroux's 100th career goal.
Entered McIlrath suspension.

Washington's still over the contract limit and, based on the number of UFA bids I see, I'm guessing someone else will soon join them.

Yep; but they've contacted me and said they've got their release list ready to go.Vik (Habs) wrote:Washington's still over the contract limit and, based on the number of UFA bids I see, I'm guessing someone else will soon join them.

Probably because I forgot to add his signing. Then again, re-signing a guy you released earlier in the season is a bit game-y.Dallas Stars GM wrote:Jesse Graham is missing on my team (for unknown reasons)

All them UFA offers should be good to go now (unless someone has outbid them).
Re: December 15, 2014
Is that reallly allowed? never looked in the rule book about that, Even though i had someone try and trade me a player i let go to UFA andwas signed for a shitload more then he was worthSharksGM wrote:Probably because I forgot to add his signing. There's nothing in the rulebook saying you can't but there probably should be. Probably isn't worth worrying about it in this case (it's only Jesse Graham and he's not signing at a discount or anything) but something to think about going forward.Singin the BLUES wrote:Is that reallly allowed? never looked in the rule book about that, Even though i had someone try and trade me a player i let go to UFA andwas signed for a shitload more then he was worth
Sure you can. I think people are under the impression you can't because of the Dean McAmmond thing all them years ago (probably the only reason anyone really remembers McAmmond) but that had to do with the waiver draft (you couldn't trade a player before the waiver draft and reacquire them in season (otherwise you could basically pay other teams to protect your players for you)). Unless something got added to the most recent CBA and I didn't hear about it, there's nothing saying you can't swap guys back and forth.BlackHawk Down (Seb) wrote:In the NHL, I know you cant re-acquire someone you traded the same year.....dont know about UFAs/release
If you'd like an example, the first one that comes to mind (though it ain't the most recent) is Yan Stastny. The Oilers picked him up from the Bruins for the 05/06 season and then dealt him back at the deadline as part of the Samsonov deal.
Re: December 15, 2014
In the bolded part....i think there WAS something in the rule book about it, or i am thinking of a different league.....but yes, that is something to think about for sure....one playe that i let go was making somewhere arounf 1 mill per.....i was thinking about offering 1.2mill per but let him go, and one team is now paying him something like 2.5-3 mill per......fuckin insane lmaoVik (Habs) wrote:There's nothing in the rulebook saying you can't but there probably should be. Sorry to Bub about all the trouble, but I found some beauties. Ben Chiarot is the next David Shields.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:Yep; but they've contacted me and said they've got their release list ready to go.Vik (Habs) wrote:Washington's still over the contract limit and, based on the number of UFA bids I see, I'm guessing someone else will soon join them.

Sorry about that, I had too many players back then, now that I have some room, I need players who can play D and forward position.Probably because I forgot to add his signing. Then again, re-signing a guy you released earlier in the season is a bit game-y.
