Why wouldn't you be able to? They don't have to be signed to a NHL team.

I don't think they are coming......

I was just checking in on bringing Gonchar, I wasn't sure if they had to be signed or not (since them being signed is probably easier for you to move over to team RUS).

Actually, I should re-phrase, Filatov is coming, Burmistrov is a question mark.

Also, it's the Burminator, not the Burmistor.

Burmistrov a question mark?
What?
He might be the most talked-about Russian player in the league with almost a PPG and over 150 PIM.
Also, he's the 3rd highest-rated OFF player in the file only behind Kovalchuk and Ovechkin.

He should be a lock.

Did I call him The Burmistor? Thanks, Parker. I'll make sure I get it right from here on out.

On another note, who's going to be the Slovenian players available to me outside of Anze Kopitar?
I guess I should not even bother looking in our file for those guys right now.

Just give me some players, I'll put lines together then watch them get killed by Crosby and his friends.

Don't think being signed or not matters.

Tarasenko > Burmistrov. Dem PIMs.

Just don't snub Markov/Varly/Datsyuk.

His 66 con, 68 DEF, and 36 PEN make him a question mark. Don't make me go Brian Burke now.

I don't understand. Why would you wait until the Olympic file is released? It's your job to pick the team. If there aren't enough guys, we need to create them. The obvious play would be to use real-life Latvian Olympic players that I can create.

As I said, any native-born players already in the file need to be included. I don't know if there are any Latvians, but you can easily check with this: http://ehm.fhockey.com/resources/Nation%20Lists.zip

Hoping to get back to working on the Olympic teams when I get back in the swing of things tomorrow. I've been in Columbus this weekend.

Just a note to everybody. I'm going to let the GMs of the smaller countries (Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Latvia) keep one player of their choosing from what I created. The others will be open for bidding after the tournament. I haven't decided what to do with staff yet.

I think this is fair for those GMs being good sports and participating with their teams that realistically have no shot at winning the gold.

Based off what Pat posted, I've formed four lines of forwards. Latvia currently only has 2 D and 0 G, unless they have been added to the file recently.

Code: Select all

Daugavins - Girgensons - Karsums
Klavins - Lipsberg - Dzerins
Podzinsh - Stals - Danilics
Berzins - Pecura - Bukarts

Bartulis - Kulda

Considering I can't make the file until February 9 so all attributes are up to date, February 8 is the due date for major countries. I'd like the guys with the smaller countries to get things in sooner because I'll have to create some players. Austria and Norway are done. Got Switzerland a few days ago. Got Latvia today. Need Slovenia in the near future.

To clarify on smaller countries, some of their Olympic players are with EHEC organizations, either in the AHL or the prospect pool. I've tried not to change those players much, and I certainly haven't touched their ceilings or POT/CON. I may have expedited their development to put attributes in the 50s and 60s, but I don't think anybody has gained a competitive advantage from the changes.

First, you point it to your main EHM directory, then hit ok. A new window opens, and then you point it to the save file: in this case, saves\EHEC.

Hey Pat, I'd appreciate if you could do that for Slovenia too.
Thanks.

It opens up a small window, but from that point on I don't know what files need to be opened.
First, you point it to your main EHM directory, then hit ok. A new window opens, and then you point it to the save file: in this case, saves\EHEC.
Did not work. Even if I run it as administrator. Sorry.

I need Olympic rosters and staff for Canada and Russia. Parker and Brad, that's you guys.

Need staff for Czech Republic. Tommy, that's you.

I still have to make Switzerland and Slovenia and also do staff for Latvia and Norway.

Deadline for rosters is Sunday.

Sorry Adam, I'll submit that stuff tonight. Do you need lines right now as well or just a player and staff list?

Parker, Brad -- based on what I did for my roster: no lines needed yet, and yes just pm it to Adam.

Thanks Pat. While I'm on the subject, do we just need coaches and physio for staff? We probably don't need scouts as well, right?

Adam had to create my staff (Austria) and I think he made head and two assistant coaches, plus a physio.

Just player/staff list like Pat said.

We'll have to do lines the old way with .lns files emailed as attachments.

Do we need to have staff from the same country? I don't think the Olympics actually has nationality restrictions. Like Ralph Krueger is German-Canadian but coached Switzerland and Austria.

As of the 2/8 sim, Norway doesn't have any staff.

Like Ted Nolan coaching Latvia?

I don't really have an issue with it if it's somebody who previously coached for that country. I was trying to keep it nationality-based, but if there aren't guys in the file, I wind up creating the real-life coaches that I can find and editing their attributes.

Hoping to do it today. Spent the weekend in Detroit, so I've got to catch up today.
