Since the acquisition of Adam McQuaid, Schultz has become somewhat superfluous, and I could use the roster spot to hasten the development of a long-term project like Ronald Knot or Alex Coulombe. On the other hand, Schultz does his job consistently and he's not a bad stay-at-home defender who could provide useful depth so I'm happy to let him go somewhere he'll be more valued. Since for some reason I continue looking to expand my stable of misfit toys and non-prospects, the late 5th round pick will help nicely in that regard as well. Always a pleasure, Mike.
