San Jose receives:
D François Beauchemin (75)
Phoenix receives:
NAS 2013 5th round pick
I like Beauchemin, but with the acquisition of Eric Gudbranson last year, Frankie B ended up as unused depth. With Kurt Sauer's newfound leadership and consistency (and lower price tag), Beau would've been allowed to walk as a UFA. I loves me some depth prospects, and the 5th rounder will let me acquire yet another. Nice doing business with you, Dan.

Yeah sure. Beauch is a more consistent, less penalty-taking but less talented replacement for Kubina, who's too greedy to re-sign. I don't think I can afford a much better 6th defenseman given the cap, and 5th rounders are not all that valuable.

Dan and Parker trading with each other? I knew something was fucked up when I saw a cat and a dog walking together with a baby Catdog in tow earlier today. I thought it was just the drugs, but now it all makes sense.

Trade entered for Backman. Beauchemin traded manually, Backman traded back, man.
