No excuses tonight gents, I was at work until midnight and arrived home around 12:30. Twelve games on the schedule leads to a decent amount of instructions (happy to see) as well as the games themselves. That said, knocked it out before going to bed so you will all have something to look forward to / be disappointed about in the morning.

On to Saturday's action with eighty-percent of the league taking part. The hangover continues into the regular season as the Hurricanes score four unanswered on my Jets. Panic! Pittsburgh appears to be in midseason form already. Ottawa scores an impressive home win, with the tough guys stuffing the stat sheet.

New Jersey might force the return of the much maligned NZT tactic. Devils post another five goals tonight with a three point night from Sir Steven. An exhausted Christopher Gibson somehow leads the Islanders to victory. Frolík. Bitches.

Minnesota witnesses the first of many 1st and 2nd star performances from the Yakupov/RNH combo. da Hawks piss away a two goal lead in the third at home, then go on to lose the skills competition against the revamped Jackets. Phoenix does Phoenix type things to an auto-ed Dallas squad. Edmonton's new additions and youngsters pay off.

Bummer. This occurred to me when NJ led Buf and Pitt in shots.

Stammer and Kovy 3 points, Zajac and Abdelkader 2 points. Loving the start to the season. Lets see if we can keep it up, promising signs though.

It could be an ugly year in Portland. Good win by the big team to kick off the season though. I wonder what kind of odds I could've gotten on our first goal of the season being a shorty...

Elias GWG in his first game in a wild jersey, 10 players register a point. Good start to the season offensively.

Joooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonas with the triple deke winner in the shootout!

Little heart from the boys on night one with the comeback win. I like it.

And Femur, how do you like the taste of that?

Was I supposed to activate him? I noted he was day-to-day so I would be auto-ing lines if I had.

Oh, of course not. I've already lost one franchise player to a CREI, don't need the best player in the file getting 86'd as well. I was commenting on my depth or lack thereof; Budish is a world beater to, can't forget he was out.
