Reasoning: In reality Hodgson won't be the dominant player he can be for another two years and since our sim league runs on an everyday basis I'll be a Junior in College at that point. I want to win now and trading Hodgson allowed me to not only dump salary in players that weren't producing (Ehrhoff, Bernier, Salo) but I also gain back three exceptionally talented players that will not only help my everyday 5 on 5 but my Penalty Kill as well.

Trying to build a younger team. Hodgson and the 1st are the big steps forward in that respect and are the real gold here. Yes I'm giving up some key players but I'm looking long term. I take on a bit of salary but I can afford it.
