CBJ/NYR/WPG

To Columbus:
F Cory Stillman (72)

To New York:
D Dan Girardi (74)

To Winnipeg:
C Sami Pahlsson (70)

Winnipeg approves.

Should have probably given Girardi a chance in my top four. As it stands, he's too good to be wasted as a 5th/6th defenseman. Pahlsson helps me continue to build my bottom 6 forwards which were a nightmare last season.

Columbus confirms.

Pahlsson was very replaceable having Mike Fisher in the fold to be my 3C. I needed Stillman because I wanted an experienced guy to play in my top 6 with some scoring ability and he put up good numbers with NYR in his two seasons there.

I will hope that he declines his PO, but I know better, so hopefully he is a solid presence for me while he's on my team.

Rangers confirm.

Sorry to lose The Silent Assassin, but he is 37 now and it's good to get some value for him. Plus I have a replacement ready in Wannstrom. Girardi returns to the fold, and I anticipate some further tweaking of the blueline before the puck drops in October.
