My bad since the rulebook is clear on this, but it would be nice if people also made it clear whether the player they are waiving actually needs to pass through waivers or not.

I know how old he is, but I didn't check the rulebook to see if you could waive someone who otherwise wouldn't be waiver eligible. But since you're being a dick about it, the rulebook also says you're supposed to state if the player is waiver-eligible or not, otherwise we could all go waiving everyone and claiming they're not eligible.

Hillen will need to be recalled to adhere to the cap floor.

On a separate note, boys, the waiver rules are as follows: All players under 25 are exempt. So are all players with a two-way contract. Currently, players making over 1.2M can only be sent down for one week before re-entry waivers must begin.

To avoid future dick measuring contests like the one above, just take the time to add the extra 3 words to say "not waiver-eligible" or something to that effect.

Also, if you are waiving a player with the intent to release him, please post that.

Quite frankly, just use the word demote instead of waive. Waive mostly means to release. Demote means to send down. Let's just be as clear as possible so I don't have to deal with this shit.

If it's possible, I'd like to send Ivan Telegin down to the AHL (U20) and sent Matt MacKenzie ... uh, up to the NHL I guess? If there's some rule I missed about swapping out U20 players then I suppose can just send MacKenzie back to juniors instead (?).
