2020/2021 UFA Season Approaches

This offseason has been formative and completely redefined the New York Rangers for the upcoming season.

Only 2 forwards from top two lines are returning (Novak and Dal Colle).

While the defense is all returning Rangers, Seth Jones and Tim Liljegren, are both on new teams.

The likely goaltending duo are brand new (Hellberg/Subban).

A few weeks ago, the Rangers were a prime landing destination for UFAs, with a new roster and lots of cap space. After a blockbuster that brought Rick Nash to the Rangers, the team has shifted to finding depth and role players that were sorely needed.

The UFA season will likely be spent redefining the AHL affiliate as was just completed with the Rangers, as the majority of players are on expiring contracts there as well.

Here's to an exciting end of the 2020 offseason and to hopefully some Ranger dominance in the East.
