Pretty sure the standings were played with to get the matchups right for the playoffs but Calgary can't be picking lower than 26th so don't think it's accurate anyways.

Yeah, my mistake, I just read the rule about draft order, and only the final four teams are ''reassigned''.
I'll correct that.

Like I said, someone fiddled with teams' records. I assume it was to get the right playoff matchups but, whatever the reason, you can't go by the current savefile.

Yes, teams.ehm was edited to get the right matchups. I assume Pat will change it back at some point and he'll definitely post the full draft order soon. Also, he made a backup of the end of season teams.ehm:

Yeah, I had to monkey with the teams file to get the playoff matchups as close as possible to what we wanted. I'll advance the game here shortly and re-adjust the teams file to show the proper end-of-season records. I think Vik's is correct, but we'll take another look at it once I fix things.

Shouldn't the "Columbus via Calgary" pick (currently #26) be higher, since CGY went out before we did? Or am I misreading the NHL's policy on this?
EDIT: the teams.ehm file has been updated, and the standings page on the website now reflects the actual end-of-season records and point totals.

No it's correct, only the conference finalists pick in the bottom 4. The rest of the playoff teams get sorted by regular season point totals.

Also, the division winners get lower picks than non-division winners. That's why Chicago's pick is later than Arizona and LA's even though they had fewer points.
