François Beauchemin & Barret Jackman have been in the AHL all year long, which means you can acquire and demote them WAIVER FREE and wait until the playoffs to call them up where there is NO SALARY CAP. What does this all mean? You can get quality veteran defensive depth for total cap hit of ZERO DOLLARS!

All it costs is a 5th round pick in any year!

Wade Redden is also available; Rissling could be another AHL stasher and despite his age, has 78 LE. He just needs NHL playing time to grow.
