With my recent pickups at forward, and with the draft coming up, some players became expandable. DAL had interest in Kugryshev, so it was an opportunity for me to get a pick for next year.

As soon as I took a look on my projected next season's roster, I found out that I'll need to add a right-winger to my first line, to play next to Buchnevich and Grigorenko. Kugryshev will fill the need perfectly for a reasonable price.
