I am receptive to hearing about Kronwall, Rozsival and Kubina. I would be interested in a grindy-hitty forward type in return. Similarly, if you have a badass defending defenseman, a guy like Ivan Telegin could be in the mix.

I would like a defensive defenseman prior to the deadline. Right shooter preferred, age and contract status not especially relevant other than for cap-balancing purposes. The usual suspects are available, plus Matt Killian could go for a good enough return.

UPDATE

Pending UFAs are on the block. I just can't afford to sign these guys, so it's pretty much first come first serve for them. I'll take the best assets I can get back for them. Lee Stempniak also is an option for a cheap winger with a decent shot and 1 year left on his deal.

Beyond that, almost everyone is available for the right price. In particular, noted 40 or 50 odd goal-scorer Dany Heatley is available as a year long rental for those who think that they're one chip away from the Cup. I don't have to trade him by any means, so come at me with your best offer. Same with Kronwall and Rozsival, minus the 50 goals bit.

Heatley's gone. :( Goodbye, slaughterer of m... pucks. I guess Cogliano's not untouchable, but he's signed at a fair price so he'd cost a fair amount.

Now just to remind y'all, I have some very attractive UFAs, many of which just got serious CON/LE boosts. Trade me a pick or prospect for their rights and you're pretty much guaranteed to sign them.

G Niklas Backstrom, 78 OV, 84 CON, 82 LE. Great playoff goalie!
D Pavel Kubina, 70 OF, 75 DF, 68 CON, 79 LE. All-around defender who you need to sign because if you don't he'll be injuring your forwards regularly.
W Marco Sturm, 76 OF, 70 DF, 79 CON, 82 LE. Can contribute on a 2nd or 3rd line, puts up points, huge LE, not going to decline any time soon.
C/LW Dainius Zubrus, 74 OF, 72 DF, 65 CON, 70 LE. Good depth, doesn't slump too often.

Lee Stempniak sucks, but he's a warm body and has 88 shooting. You can have him for pretty much anything.

Erik Ersberg has a little value. 70 OA/75CON backup, but more importantly, he only makes 400k. If you're up against the cap, how does a competent league minimum backup sound?

Also, if you've bothered to read this, you'll notice there are some flag icons up there - they're uploaded to EHEC's webspace, so use them if you want.

Jaden Schwartz and Erik Cole are on the block, again. I want good things, mostly.

Francois Beauchemin is also wearing my patience and is expendable.

Update: Although Stempniak is not very good, he's done okay as a 4th liner and could be a solid 3rd liner on some teams. Give him a chance! A 5th is all I'm asking! Also, Jake Allen can be yours for a 5th! Hell, a 2015 5th would do it, or literally any player making less than 1.5M on a 1-year deal.

Kronwall is also available for a reasonable return.

Added Okposo. Kronwall still available. Cogliano and Schwartz for an upgrade only.

I could use a PK forward with good CH/PO/SK. Maybe hitting too, if I can. Let me know if you've got one available. Wingers are fine. I could include my 1st for a good enough return.

I'm still motivated to move Okposo. He's great at faceoffs and a solid 3rd/4th C but developing too slowly for his salary. Cogliano is doing great as a 3C so it'll take a great offer to pry him away. Otherwise, refer to the block above.

Pahlsson's available. Not worth a first (duh), but he might fit anyway.

Okposo may well be on his way out, pending trade approval. I've got a decent offer for Schwartz, so if you've been eyeing him but were too shy to make a move, now is the time.

Everyone and everything is available. Hell, I'll write an essay about Thornton if you give me a convincing offer.

Allow me to be a bit more specific about who's likely to move and what their values are:

Thornton, Getzlaf - Unlikely.
Radulov, Cogliano, Forbort - Not impossible, but it would take a serious upgrade (possibly on D).
Telegin, Klefbom - Slightly more likely, but I'm aware they're worth a lot. Could be part of a package for a major upgrade as well.
Schwartz - Not likely to move him because he's such a cheap cap hit, so it would take a similar value young player or late 1st.

Rozsival - 70 OF / 77 DF / 73 CON / 77 LE - Certain to move, and has a TO for 4M. Worth a mid 2nd, since he can still play good minutes.
Williams - 79 OF / 70 DF / 75 CON / 75 LE - Just his rights, but he should be easy to re-sign. Worth a late 2nd/early 3rd.
Cole - 74 OF / 77 DF / 74 CON / 86 LE - Has a very affordable 2.75M TO. Surely worth a late 1st, early 2nd.
Kronwall - 60 OF / 78 DF / 77 CON / 75 LE - Not in a rush to move him, but he could be a part of a bigger deal.
Skille - 72 OF / 69 DF / 68 CON / 54 LE - Could develop to 73 OV if he feels like it. A 3rd or a decent 4th liner would be enough.
Killian - 68 OF / 71 DF / 78 CON / 61 LE - Projects to be 72 OF/ 73 DF, and he's NHL-ready. Would prefer a similar, NHL-ready forward prospect back, or again include him in a package.
Zubrus - 72 OF / 72 DF / 67 CON / 72 LE - Yours for practically anything!

I lied about being in a hurry to move Kronwall - I'm now more motivated to move him. But I also forgot his upcoming LE boost, so what's not to like? 78 DF 77 CON 75 LE and just one year left at 3.4M.

I'm also dropping prices on most veterans. Rozsival, Kronwall and Williams can be had for 3rd round picks, 2014 or 2015. Cheap forwards would be acceptable too, as I could use a solid #4C making 1M or less.

Lastly, did I mention that Cogliano and Vasilevski could move? Because they can.

A previously agreed upon deal for Cole fell through, so he's being marketed aggressively again, along with the usual suspects.

Assuming that the Vasilevski trade goes through, I'll have picks #10 and #18 in the draft. I'd be willing to trade either of them, either to move up or down to add picks - I'm open to ideas.

Seeking a top pairing defenseman of some sort. Can be over 30, and I might be able to take on some salary. Return commensurate with talent & contract. Inquire within.

Rozsival's and Williams' rights for pretty much anything. 2016 4th, why not. I could use a decent 4th line C making under 2M too, faceoff/defense ability desired while offense is optional.

Why do I have so many American defensemen anyway?

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Matt Killian is on the block. Feel free to make any offers, but picks and/or affordable NHL-ready prospects are preferred. Alternately, he could be packaged with another roster player for an upgrade.

I am exceptionally underwhelmed by Andrew Cogliano, so he's on the block.

I am exploring the market on Radulov and Ballard. Enquire within.

Should this team continue lingering below .500, Smaby and Bernier will certainly go on the block too.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Seriously, does anyone need a goalie for their tank? Bernier is available for a starter making the same salary or less.

A bump and reminder that Bernier, Smaby, Filpulla and more are all available. Filpulla and Smaby can likely be had just for picks, or for replacement-level players.

May as well kick the can on Ballard and Radulov again. Show me what you've got.

I'm open for business. I'm not looking for a major overhaul - I can't add much salary anyway - and I don't have especially glaring needs, but I don't have too many untouchables either.

Smaby and Filpulla's rights for literally anything. Ballard could find a new home if anyone needs a reliable veteran LD. Killian's got one more year at 1.6M as a cheap 3rd pairing PP man. Picks could be had or used to trade up/down, we'll see.

I'd be willing to package some combination of Oscar Klefbom, pick #29 and my 2016 1st to move up in the draft, depending on who's available. Let me know.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

I'm done moving up, but now Oscar Klefbom is available long-term. Looking for a winger of comparable value and skills, picks, or to package him up for an upgrade.

I started paying attention to the draft again, so I'll offer any one of:

Sebastien Ottosson
Kevin Hayes
Matt Smaby
Valtteri Filpulla
2016 4th

... for one of the next let's say 10 picks.

Updated for the new season. I wouldn't mind swapping Korpikoski and/or Killian for a similarly valued and priced RW, if possible.

Quoting myself, but I am more generally looking to upgrade my roster wherever I can. Old/pending UFAs are fine, if they can fit under the cap.

Matt Killian for the BPA (best pick/prospect available).

Byron and Korpikoski are still available. Tornkvist maybe, for the right deal.

I am vaguely curious as to what kind of defensive upgrade I can get for D Ryan Pilon (73 of 77 df soon enough, 82 con 67 LE, 3 years @ 2M) + pick(s). Obviously it would have to be a good one.

Max salary I can take is 6.5M (Killian has to go back).

Updated. Nobody is really untouchable, although you'd have to blow me away for McCoshen or Kovalchuk. Ballard will find a new home this offseason. Luongo, Byron and Korpikoski's rights are on the block too. I'm not picky about what I get back - the best offer will get the deal done.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Bump. Keith Ballard's affordable one year deal + TO is heating up as it re-enters the atmosphere.

Roberto Luongo for literally any pick, preferably next season.

Tobias Tornkvist is available. Also, pretty much everyone is available for the right price.

I have a reasonably compelling offer for Getzlaf, so if you'd had your eye on him, now is the time to make a serious pitch.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Looking for a reasonable league-minimum 4th line winger. Defensive ability is a must, offense is not (otherwise they wouldn't be a league-minimum 4th line winger). Preferably not terrible PE rating too.

Zaytsev and Dymacek could move if you want a cheap roster player back.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

by SharksGM
Nobody is untouchable. That includes Kovalchuk, Thornton, Sharp, who-the-fuck-ever.

I want value of any kind and I wouldn't mind getting a goalie with a GAA below 3 because apparently Luongo was actually the glue holding this mess together.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Posted: Sat Nov 26, 2016 1:11 pm
by SharksGM
Kovalchuk is gone. Now I kind of need a decent winger who can play on the right. I'd prefer a goalscorer and/or power forward under 30. Surprise me with great offers. I've got some picks and prospects to spare, amongst other things.

Hawryluk and Tornkvist are available. Who doesn't want a cheap, two-way fourth line center?

Sharp and Thornton still on the market for the right price, while I'm at it.

Some more exciting fresh ideas:

Lars Volden for anything of value. His main talent is occupying a roster spot for just 451k!
Clayton Keller/Otto Somppi for a prospect/young RW of similar value
Mike Komisarek for ???

Did I mention that everyone is for sale?

Old farts on the shit-list:

R/L Clowe
D Komisarek
L/C Sharp
L/C Thornton
D Edler (would take a great offer so don't lowball)

Young farts:

R Tornkvist
C/L Hawryluk
L/C Osala
L/C Byron

Come at me, bros.

Last chance to stock up before the playoffs. Some of you playoff teams have cap space - don't risk playing it safe and missing your chance at glory for some measly draft picks in a weak year.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Posted: Tue Jul 04, 2017 2:43 pm
by SharksGM
Can you believe that these four players are still available? Neither can I!

LW/C Patrick Sharp - 81/79/76 for a measly 7.55M. Only a one-year commitment, just the way Sharpie likes it.
LW Brock Nelson - 3.9M to re-sign a 91 SH, 81 OFF and 77 CON forward who scored 39G + 41A last season. Who can say no?
D Mike Komisarek - 84 DF, 79 SK, 77 CON, 82 LE. Only asking for a 3M extension and still good to go for another 2 seasons. He even managed 30 points a season ago.
C/LW Joe Thornton - https://sports.yahoo.com/naked-joe-thor ... 43060.html

Offer something reasonable if you want, or don't.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

LW Brock Nelson - 81 OFF/77 CON; scored 39G + 41A. Due $3.9M.
D Mike Komisarek - 84 DF/77 CON; 79 SK & 82 LE. Due $3M.

Valuable assets still to be had before free agency. I can take some salary back for the right offer, but not more than I ship out.

Patrik Berglund, anyone? 99 faceoffs, 89 PO, 83 SK, $1.08M. Will consider reasonable offers as long as they don't add salary.

Need a filler scoring forward making under 600k? Dylan Wruck - LW/C, 79 OF (81 max), 68 CON, 560k x 1 year for a late pick.

I hate everyone on this stupid team and would be happy to trade any of them.

Re: San Jose Sharks Chopping Block

Who wants expiring contracts for a playoff push?

LW/C Patrick Sharp - 6M, can score 30-40 goals, needs to do it on another team. 82 OF / 79 DF / 76 CON.
W Maxim Kitsyn - 3.5M, actually did score 30 goals once. 81 OF / 72 DF / 74 CON (76 HI).

Everyone else is still available for the right price, of course, but as you might guess, the Nuge will cost an arm and a leg, Galchenyuk an arm and a foot and the top four D some suitable combination of extremities.
