Currently working on the file.

Here are the matchups:
EAST
1. Providence (BOS) v. 8. Binghamton (OTT)
2. Hershey (WSH) v. 7. Portland (PHX)
3. Connecticut (NYR) v. 6. Manchester (LA)
4. Worcester (SJ) v. 5. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (PIT)

WEST
1. Milwaukee (NSH) v. 8. Peoria (STL)
2. Abbotsford (CGY) v. 7. Charlotte (CAR)
3. Oklahoma City (EDM) v. 6. Toronto (TOR)
4. Grand Rapids (DET) v. 5. Rockford (CHI)

Guys, I take a lot of my time to do the AHL playoff file so please participate and pay attention if your farm team is involved.

Here are the criteria we used last season for playoff eligibility:

Skaters must meet ONE of these TWO criteria to be eligible for the AHL Playoffs.

1. No more than 35 games played at the NHL level. (Players with an OF or DF 75 or greater or players who were on pro team IR for 3 or more months (more than half of 186-day season) are not eligible to play in the AHL playoffs.)

2. No higher than 72 OA and no OF/DF 75 or higher; exception: players who played 54 or more games at the AHL level this season (2/3 of 82 game schedule) or equivalent of 2/3 or more of total games played by player during season. (so, say, 36/40 or 50/57, etc.).

As always, only 3 underagers per team.

AHL waiver/max salary rules still apply. Player must have two-way/under 25/clear waivers to be sent down. Max salary is 1.5M before game applies two-way salary.

Goalies must meet BOTH of these criteria to be eligible for the AHL playoffs.

1. No more than 20 games at NHL level (1/4 of 82 game schedule).

2. No higher than 75 OA; exception: goaltenders who played 54 or more games at the AHL level this season (2/3 of 82 game schedule).

If underager, counts toward 3 underager rule.

As mentioned here, AHL goaltenders making over 1.5M will have their salaries count as 1.5M and are eligible if they meet the above criteria.

Teams who get eliminated from the playoffs who still have AHL affiliates playing in the postseason can send players down, assuming they meet the criteria.

If you're not sure if a player is eligible, just post them here and I'll answer.

My hope is to have the AHL playoffs file done tomorrow and to start them on Tuesday. Leadership changes will carry over to the main file.

I'll post the instructions on how to get the AHL file to work once I get it finshed.

Going to relax with the wife. Will advance the EHEC file tomorrow as well because I have to manipulate some things to get the right standings order with the draft lottery order and, for some reason, ANA at 84 points isn't in the playoffs, but STL at 83 points is. I guess EHM didn't read the SO win for ANA, so I'll have to edit that as well.

I'd say 40% of the work is done on the AHL playoff file. I should be able to have that uploaded and the instructions typed up by early afternoon tomorrow.

I also had a problem last year with entering lines on teams that had more than 23 players on the active roster. When I get all of the rosters transferred over, I'm going to put the lowest OA players on the farm team in the AHL playoff file. If you want to swap them out for somebody else, that's up to you and you'll have to do that yourself. Just send an instruction via the GMCP instead of clogging up the waiver wire file.

So the cocksucking jackasses who made the AHL standings apparently put Charlotte in the Western Conference.

Updated playoffs:

EAST
1. Providence (BOS) v. 8. Binghamton (OTT)
2. Hershey (WSH) v. 7. Portland (PHX)
3. Connecticut (NYR) v. 6. Manchester (LA)
4. Worcester (SJ) v. 5. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (PIT)

WEST
1. Milwaukee (NSH) v. 8. Peoria (STL)
2. Abbotsford (CGY) v. 7. Charlotte (CAR)
3. Oklahoma City (EDM) v. 6. Toronto (TOR)
4. Grand Rapids (DET) v. 5. Rockford (CHI)

So, congratulations to Nick and the Senators organization for making the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Sorry, Zaq. San Antonio fell just one point short.

After about four hours worth of work, the AHL file is done!

The file is advanced to the 14th. I updated the playoff schedule to start tomorrow, the 16th. The West teams will play.

Here's the easiest way to do this:
Download http://www.ehechockey.com/EHM_AHL.zip
Unzip the file and save the folder to the desktop

You can only test sim using the EHM.exe inside of the EHM_AHL folder, otherwise, you'll get a bunch of run-time errors and problems. The AHL folder is already in there, the teams are all set. I auto lined everybody for now. Also auto-lined the farm teams so you can test sim if necessary.

Once games are simmed and there's an updated save file, you just overwrite everything exactly the same as with the EHEC file.

Make sure you're running this EHM as an administrator or with compatibility mode on or however you get EHM to run.

EHEC file to be posted in a few minutes.

Hehe.

"They think they're the best dancers!"

Quincey was carving a notch into his stick for each victim, but the stick had so many notches in it that he broke it the next time he tried to spear a guy in the groin.
